The birthdate on her headstone is quite wrong.

On 16 December 1880 the 27 years old servant maid Martje Wilkens married in Baflo the five years younger farm hand Willem Moltemaker, also born in Den Andel, son of the late Jan Pieters Moltemaker and day-laborer Jakobje Willems Bakker.

On 22 December 1880 and 23 January 1883 day laborers Martje Wilkens and Willem Moltmaker (22 resp. 25 years old) had in Den Andel sons Jan and Klaas Moltmaker.

In 1882 her father Klaas Wilkens (58, Dutch Reformed, less well-to-do, day laborer) emigrated with his -anonymous- wife and one -anonymous- child from Baflo to Michigan, USA. Also in 1882 her brother Berend Wilkens (20, Dutch Reformed, farm hand, poor) and her uncle Derk Wilkens (33, Dutch Reformed, less well-to-do, day laborer also emigrated from Baflo to Michigan, USA. They sailed very probably on the same ship.

In 1883 Willem Moltmaker (27, Dutch Reformed, less well-to-do, day-laborer), his -anonymous- wife and two -anonymous- children emigrated also from Baflo to Michigan, USA.

On April 25, 1885 daughter Josie Moltmaker aka Moldermaker was born in Fulton, Whiteside County, located in the northwestern part of Illinois. In 1940 she was still living in Fulton with her husband Jacob J. Wiersema. She died in 1965. See also Find A Grave Memorial# 54978050.

Between 1884 and 1892 her husband Willem Moltmaker died, very probably in Fulton or Chicago, Illinois.

On February 26, 1892 widow Mattje Wilkens remarried in Cook County, Illinois, very probably in Chicago, the five years younger widower Johannes Aggen, who was also born in the northwestern part of the Dutch northeastern province Groningen.

In April 1910 Mary (57 years old, born in Holland, immigrated in 1883), her husband John A Aggen (52, born in Holland, immigrated in 1890 [must be: 1878!], owner of a green house), her child Claus (28, Holland), their children Tessie (17, Illinois) and Reuder [must be: Render] (16, Illinois) were living in Ward 3 of Fulton, Whiteside County, located in the northwestern part of Illinois.

In January 1920 Mary (66, immigrated in 1880 [must be: 1883]) and her husband John Aggen Sr. (61, immigrated in 1878, proprietor of a green house) were still living at their own home in Ward 4 of Fulton, Whiteside County, Illinois.

Her husband John Aggen died in November 1920 at the age of 72 years in Fulton, Whiteside County, Illinois.

In April 1940 Mary Aggen (87, widow) was living in her own house, worth $2200, in Fulton, Fulton Township, Whiteside, Illinois, on the east side of the Mississippi River. Right next to her son John Aggen (51, Chicago, green hand) and his wife Jennie (50, Illinois) were living at their own home, worth $6000. They all lived in 1935 in the same house.
Fulton is a city most known for its pride in its Dutch heritage. This is shown through the addition of a traditional Dutch windmill, De Immigrant, located near the city's dike, which borders the Mississippi. They departed from Eenrum and their destination was Grand Haven on Lake Michigan in the southwestern part of Michigan.

On April 13, 1878 Johann[es] Aggen (20 years old, farmer) arrived aboard the ship called "Switzerland" at the port of New York, Castle Garden, with his brothers S[teffen] Aggen (23, farmer, Find A Grave Memorial# 120798986), Corn [Kornelis] Aggen (16, farmer, Find A Grave Memorial# 140199347), Jacob Aggen (29, farmer, Find A Grave Memorial# 120798545), Jacob's wife Jenna (Teunje, 30) and their children Jan (2) and Stanger (Stientje, 1).

On 14 April 1883 Johannes Aggen was naturalized by the Cook County Court, Illinois, very probably located in Chicago.

Johannes Aggen married Gezina (Edith) Dijkhuizen, who was also born in the Dutch northeastern province Groningen.

On January 1st, 1888 John Aggen Jr. was born in Chicago.

On January 24, 1891 his wife Gezina aka Edith died at the age of 26 years in Chicago.

On February 26, 1892 Johannes Aggen remarried in Cook County, Illinois, very probably in Chicago the five years older widow Mattje Wilkens, who was also born in the northwestern part of the Dutch northeastern province Groningen.
